About the course

The criminology master’s programme provides you with specialist knowledge on criminal careers, risk assessment and crime prevention. The education addresses the individual, the situational as well as the societal perspective, and includes health-related aspects such as substance abuse and mental health issues.

The programme has a multi-disciplinary approach and focus on applied research. It contains courses in methodology and applied statistics, and as a student you will independently analyse complex phenomena and formulate research questions related to criminology.
