This Masters in Teaching and Learning is based on the findings of Listen Imagine Compose. Listen Imagine Compose investigates how composing is taught and learned in secondary schools and draws on the expertise of teachers and their pupils, composers, music education academics and arts organisations. It is a partnership project between Sound and Music, Birmingham Contemporary Music Group and Birmingham City University.

Applicants should have a degree or equivalent qualification, or professional experience that equates to degree level. Teachers with a recent PGCE with credits at Level 7 will be able to use their credits towards the Masters in Teaching and Learning (if not already used towards another qualification). Additional modules can be undertaken in lieu of existing Level 7 credits.
