Continuing Professional Development - Health PC

Course Description

Accredited CPD, allows you to do individual modules from our formal postgraduate courses as stand-alone courses. These courses are especially suitable for NHS staff. Formal and transferable postgraduate academic credits are awarded to all students who successfully complete individual accredited CPD modules.

Course structure

In 2015, modules available were:
-Global Health Issues and Governance
-Public Policy, Health and Health Inequalities
-Health Systems Analysis and Comparison
-The Dynamics of Evidence Informed Policy
-Gender, Sex, Health and Politics
-Qualitative Methods Applied to Policy and Health Research
-Epidemiology and Statistics
-Quantitative Health Research Methods
-Qualitative Health Research Methods

Durham University recognises the credits gained on individual modules, which means credits awarded can be applied against future programmes of study. Each taught module constitutes 15 credits, baring Quantitative and Qualitative Health Research Methods which constitute 30 credits each.

Fees and Funding

Fees for home students are £650 per 15 credit module.

2:1 Honours degree or International GPA equivalent in a related subject. GPA equivalents vary from country to country so please contact our Admissions Staff for specific details.Two academic references.
