Entry Requirements

Application for entry to the MSoc Sc CYW programme is open to those who:
1 - Have a primary degree in one of the social sciences (those holding other primary degrees may be also considered in light of their experience and personal studies).
2 - Have experience of / a demonstrated interest in work with communities, youth organisations or projects, minority groups, social movements or international development. Applicants must have a recognised primary degree which is considered equivalent to Irish university primary degree level.

There are 60 Taught Master's Scholarships available across every discipline of Maynooth University. Closing date is the 15th June 2018. Applications are welcome from all BSc/BA graduates or equivalent honours level 8 graduates, including the graduating class of 2018.

These postgraduate scholarships for Masters study are funded with the support of the Alumni Affinity Card and provide graduates of Maynooth University (including the graduating class of 2018) with a €5,000 scholarship towards fees for a full-time Taught Masters programme at Maynooth University.

Applicants must intend to pursue a
full-time Taught Master’s degree at the University commencing meet the following eligibility criteria:
1. A minimum overall result of 65% in an Honours Bachelor’s degree from
Maynooth University. Applicants should apply before they receive
their exam results.
2. Satisfy the entry requirements of the Maynooth University Taught Master’s
Programme they intend to undertake.

The scholarship is not open to those who have already commenced or have previously
undertaken a Master’s programme.
A minimum 65% honours level 8 undergraduate degree result and a personal statement is required.
