What do you enjoy most about your course?
The practical side is my favourite part of my course, interviewing and filming is a passion of mine and one I have got to master throughout my time at university. As well as taking advantage of the universities kit store and playing around with their cameras.

What are the lecturers like on your course? How do you benefit from their experience and expertise?
Jenny Eastwood, the lead lecture for the course, has been incredible. She is very supportive and always there for you. She owns her own PR company so is still working in the industry now and has amazing contacts that have helped me during my assignments. As she already works in industry and has done for many years, she has real life examples that can be applied to our learning which makes lectures easier to understand and follow when you can see how techniques have been applied in industry.

What is the community like here?
The UOG experience and community is like one I’ve never experienced so far. Everyone at this university is supportive, caring, and inspirational. I feel as though I have a family for life with the UOG community and this shows through the number of graduates who want to come back and offer their help.

How do you think a postgraduate qualification will help with your career?
My master’s degree has definitely helped with my confidence which I didn’t have after graduating my undergrad. I feel more prepared to go into the workplace and confident that I can be an asset to the team. I also believe the qualification is a way of bridging the gap between undergrad and a full-time position which will place me in a better position to get jobs in the future.
