‘The MSc Communication for Innovation and Development provides a really good grounding in communication development theory and practice. I come from a communications and campaigns background working for UK based development and fair trade organisations and am interested in moving into the field of 'communication for development'. The course provides an excellent mix of communication theory and practical exercises to increase understanding of the field and develop communication design skills. I particularly valued contributions from experienced practitioners working in various communications for development disciplines. I was also very impressed by the quality of the lectures and lecturers across all the modules (six so far, as I am part-time) and by the wide range of development issues covered.’

‘As the Gender Promotion Program National Coordinator of the Ghana Institute of Linguistics, Literacy and Bible Translation where communication with rural women is a regular theme, I looked forward to enhancing my communication skills with the MSc Communication for Innovation and Development programme. I have not been disappointed too. The blend of theory with practice has enhanced, even changed, my view of how communication for development should be carried out. Not only are the lecturers seasoned practitioners with vast experiences from different development fields. They are very welcoming and provide a very friendly atmosphere for the exchange of knowledge between themselves and students. I can firmly say that I am now very well equipped to make the necessary changes to the communication approaches adopted by my organisation when I return to work, so the desired developmental goals can be achieved more rapidly.’
