This framework is designed for junior doctors who have been awarded a place as an Academic Clinical Fellow. It meets the requirements set out by NIHR for accredited academic experience, whilst leaving the student free to maintain their primary focus on gaining a fellowship (Wellcome, MRC etc).

This Academic Clinical Fellows framework will allow you to select academic components which will:
- develop your skills in relation to project management and research governance
- enhance your understanding of the range of available research methods and the selection of appropriate tools for statistical analysis
- inform your particular area of research interest
- maximise your potential for gaining a fellowship

This masters programme is only available those students who are selected for the ACF programme. Students gaining an ACF post are required to undertake a minimum of 40 credits of set academic modules and are eligible to select modules/complete research leading to any of the above qualifications.
Academic fees are covered by the College of Medical and Dental Sciences.
