Classics and Ancient History - MRes

Course Description

About the course:
-Wide-ranging expertise covering ancient Near East, Egypt, Greece and Rome; the Bronze Age to the twenty-first century
-Taught by world-leading experts: Reading Classics was rated third in UK for quality of its publications
-Study in the Ure Museum, the fourth-largest collection of Greek ceramics in the UK
-Greek and/or Latin tuition available from beginner’s to advanced level

-Approaches to classics and ancient history
-Ancient Greek or Latin (or a modern language)
-Research methods
-Special options: literature, history, art and archaeology

Entry Requirements

You are normally required to have a good first or upper second class UK honours degree (or equivalent from a university outside the UK) in a relevant humanities subject. IELTS: 7.0 overall with no element less than 6.0 (or equivalent).
