Course content

Nottingham Business School has an established reputation for providing high quality CIPD approved courses and has offered the equivalent of a CIPD Foundation Level course for over 30 years.

This foundation level course lays the basis for further professional development and will provide the underpinning knowledge required, as part of the CIPD professional Membership Criteria, for you to apply for assessment to become an Associate Member of the CIPD (Assoc.CIPD). Graduates will receive a certificate in Human Resource Practices (CHRP) from the CIPD.

The course aims to provide the skills training in many aspects of human resources practice, thus enabling you to enhance your contribution to your own organisation and assist your own development.

• Understanding Organisations and the Role of HR
• Developing Yourself as an Effective HR Practioner
• Recording, Analysing and Using HR Information will be covered under the general theme of 'HR, the Organisation and You'
• Resource Talent
• Supporting Good Practice in Managing Employee Relations
• Supporting Good Practice in Performance Reward Management

Entry requirements:
• Aimed at all personnel and training practitioners and / or people with personnel content in their jobs, or those wishing to move into the field of personnel.
• Due to the practical nature of the course, you must either be in employment, or be able to gain access to an organisation upon which to base your assignments.
