About the course
Course content
The Master in Chemical and Material Engineering (120 ECTS) offers a solid core of courses in both of these engineering fields. The integrated and the multidisciplinary approach provides students up-to-date knowledge enabling them to propose innovative engineering solutions in numerous modern technological sectors. Students have the possibility to specialize in Process technology or Material Science. This programme encompasses two distinct profiles: Process Technology and Materials. The master’s programme has a common core of 56 ECTS, ensuring a strong mutual interaction and integration between both profiles.
The Master of Chemical and Materials Engineering program consists of two profiles: Process Technology and Materials.
Entry Requirements
Admission decisions for students from other institutions are based upon evaluation of a complete application file. Students with a bachelor in the same field of study have direct access after the evaluation of their application file. The admission for holders of another engineering degree is based upon evaluation and approval by the curriculum council .Students should present a proof of proficiency in English.
You have an overall degree above average, which in the US grading means level B or a GPA of minimum 3 out of 4.

The tuition fee for 2023-2024 will be:
EU/EEA students: 835 €/year
Non EU/EEA students 2782 €/year

Eligibility
The applicant applies to take up a Master degree programme at a higher education institution in Flanders.
- The applicant should have a high standard of academic performance and/or potential.
- He/she meets all academic entrance criteria, including relevant language requirements, for entering the Master programme in question offered by the Flemish host institution.
- All nationalities can apply. The previous degree obtained should be from a higher education institution located outside Flanders.
- Students who are already enrolled in a Flemish higher education institution cannot apply.
Application Procedure
