The Bioscience MRes/PGCert programme at the University of East London is specifically designed to provide you with the skills needed for a successful research career. Unlike traditional MSc courses, this programme focuses on developing your research skills through a Research Skills module and optional modules that allow for further specialization. You will also have the opportunity to work on an individual research project supervised by experienced faculty members. The programme offers a Postgraduate Certificate option and requires a minimum 2:2 Honours degree, a research proposal, and a minimum IELTS score of 6.5. About the course

Unlike traditional MSc courses, the University of East London’s MRes in Bioscience is designed specifically to provide you with the best opportunity to develop and demonstrate key skills for a career in research.

A third of the course consists of a Research Skills module and an optional module that you will choose from a long list, which will either develop your research skills further or offer specialisation in a particular element of bioscience.

The remaining two-thirds of the course is dedicated to the completion of an individual research project within one of the highly respected research groups in the School of Health, Sport and Bioscience.

You will be supervised throughout your project by a highly qualified and experienced director of studies.

Entry Requirements

Minimum 2:2 Honours and a Research Proposal.

We would normally expect you to have Grade C in GCSE English and Maths.

Overall IELTS 6.5 with a minimum of 6.0 in Writing, Speaking, Reading and Listening (or recognised equivalent).
