This MSc programme in Biomedical Sciences offers research training for student intending to proceed to a career in biomedical sciences, either directly or through a PhD. It is based on a research project and coursework.

This allows students more time to acquire knowledge and skills before they start their research work.
The overall aims of the programme are: ◾to provide students with the knowledge, skills and confidence needed to pursue a career in laboratory research. ◾to provide students with a theoretical and practical understanding of advanced techniques used in modern biomedical sciences research. ◾to provide students with the opportunity to practice research skills in the laboratory by completing an extensive research project in an area of their choice.
