Student Profile(s)

Charlotte Borremans (MSc Biomedical Engineering student)

I started my education for civil engineering at the University of Brussels in 2005 where I obtained my bachelor degree in Electronics. I then decided to move to Ghent for a master in biomedical engineering at VUB/Ghent University. In my second master I worked on my thesis on neurostimulation design in collaboration with the Imec Research Center in Leuven. After graduation in 2010 I immediately started working in a company developing hardware and software for Sleep Labs in hospitals. As of September 2014 I am working for St Jude Medical, a medical device company who sells highly invasive devices in the cardiology and neuromodulation sector.

Houda Turjman (MSc Biomedical Engineering)

Pursuing my master's at two universities allowed me to participate in a wide range of projects, presentations, and practical assignments that introduced me to new aspects in our field and boosted my competencies and skills, as well as friendships. The university staff and professors never failed to find ways to motivate us during difficult times and were always available and ready to respond and help. To me, this experience will forever be special.
