Successful completion of this course means you are eligible to opt-in to an accelerated route to Associate Chartered Banker status, upon successful completion of the CBI’s Professionalism & Ethics module and Chartered Banker status, upon successful completion of the CBI’s Professionalism & Ethics and Bank Strategy, Operations & Technology modules.

Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA)

This course is part of the Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) Institute’s University Affiliation Program, recognising that the course curriculum is closely tied to the practice of investment management and is helpful to students preparing for the CFA Program exams. This accreditation is ongoing, but is assessed yearly through a quality review, and whilst Coventry University hopes and anticipates that any renewal would be successful, if the renewal were to be unsuccessful, this course would no longer be accredited and we would notify applicants and students as soon as possible.

The course aims to provide a solid grounding in the main components of commercial and investment banking and the changing structure of the international financial industry. The emphasis is on interpreting, evaluating and communicating financial information to support strategic decision making within a commercial context.

You may also have the opportunity to gain valuable work experience through a company internship (subject to a competitive application process, fees and meeting any applicable visa requirements), which has seen past students undertake a range of activities, from analysing crowdfunding sources in Asia to conducting in-depth financial planning and forecasting, investor presentation and forecasts for business growth.
