The Masters programme Arts and Cultural Management is an innovative English-language, distance-learning cultural management programme run by the Leuphana Professional School in cooperation with the Goethe-Institut. The programme trains cultural professionals from all over the world to deal with transformation processes in the culture sector. The Masters includes a total of two block seminars in Lüneburg but otherwise runs online. An e-tutor and the programme coordinator support students during the online blocks.


The Masters is offered in two variants: Students can either choose a 60 CP-variant (3 study terms) or a 90 CP-variant (4 study terms). Students will explore issues such as

  • management and finance
  • organisational development
  • marketing, communication, branding
  • law and culture politics
  • international partnerships
