About the course
This MSc or Postgraduate Diploma in Archaeological Sciences gives graduates in Archaeology and related subjects a systematic training in the application of modern scientific methods.
It gives you the practical, analytical and interpretative skills you need to apply a wide range of specialist approaches, preparing you not only for research in archaeological science but also to pursue career opportunities in all areas of mainstream archaeology.
You will join a group of postgraduate students from across the world and have the opportunity to use a wide range of specialist facilities and collections, whilst being taught by internationally recognised, research-active academic staff.

Scholarships
Master's Studentship Award for a student starting their course in September 2019.
The award, linked to the AHRC Heritage Consortium, will provide funding to a high quality applicant. The funding will allow you to focus on developing high level skills and competencies for research and professional practice, particularly aimed at the Heritage sector.
The studentship is for a full-time student for one of the following Master's courses at the University of Bradford:
MA in Archaeology & Identity
MSc in Archaeological Sciences
MSc in Human Osteology and Palaeopathology
MSc in Forensic Archaeology and Crime Scene Investigation
MSc in Landscape Archaeology and Digital Heritage

Eligibility
To be considered for the studentship you must have a minimum of an upper second class honours degree or above.
The award is aligned to standard wording in the AHRC student funding guide. Students from EU countries other than the UK would be restricted to tuition fees only and no maintenance award. Non-EU students are not eligible for this funding.
Please note, in order to be considered for a studentship you must first apply to the University for admission to an appropriate programme of study.

The University is pleased to be offering a specific suite of scholarships to nationals from Sub-Saharan Africa starting this academic year.
This award is for self-funding, international fee paying students who are nationals of either Nigeria, Kenya Botswana, Uganda or South Africa. This scholarship is available for all students who meet eligibility criteria.
Students on discounted partnership programmes are not entitled to this scholarship.
Only new students will be awarded the scholarship

Payment amount & frequency
All students from Nigeria, Kenya and Botswana will be awarded a £5000 scholarship as a fee reduction. All students from Uganda and South Africa will be awarded a £4000 scholarship as a fee reduction. The scholarship will be paid in subsequent years if progressing with an average of 60% or above.
