Founded more than 60 years ago on the belief that we meet the demands of a new kind of society, economy and world, our principles resonate now more than ever. Nestled in 600 acres of countryside in the heart of the UK, many of our students and staff live, study and work here. It’s a big campus but a small and cosmopolitan community. We operate on a human scale, providing people the space to think and plenty to do, with a vast array of clubs, societies, activities and volunteering opportunities.Read more
As a mature international student with previous working experience, I think that the MSc in Applied Social and Political Psychology in Keele equips their students with the essential skills and realistic expectations for the real world. The course, through a variety of platforms such as internal research meetings, research apprenticeship and research seminars, allows you to work with different staff and be exposed to different research projects apart from your dissertation. ASPP in particular, explores some of the social issues faced by the world and studies them through rigorous social psychological lenses. The core module of ASPP focuses on applying some of the psychological frameworks to real phenomena and encourages us to analyse and critique the underlying social processes behind real world issues. It is a good synergy of theory and practical knowledge which I personally enjoy.
