Animal health and welfare is a growing field, here at NTU you will study animal wellbeing and how human actions impact upon it.
There is an increased global awareness of the link between animal and human health (One Health) and graduates with skills in this area are well placed for a range of career destinations within the animal sector. This course covers scientific theory and practice relating to the assessment of animal wellbeing. You will also be able to investigate ethical frameworks, which help us understand our obligations to animals. It combines advanced research and academic skills with applied science skills and gives you the opportunity to work with academic staff, using your research to push the boundaries of animal welfare.
MRes: A minimum of a 2.1 honours degree or equivalent in a relevant biological based science, such as Animal Biology or Zoology. Applicants with an equivalent level of relevant work experience will be considered on an individual basis.
MSc: A minimum of a 2.2 honours degree or equivalent in a relevant biological based science, such as Animal Biology or Zoology. Applicants with relevant industry experience will be considered on an individual basis.
