Advanced Radiotherapy Practice - Clinical Practice (Online P.Grad. Certificate/ P.Grad.Dip.)

Advanced Radiation Therapy Practice - Treatment Planning (Online Masters) is also available.

This online top-up MSc year builds on the learning from the Advanced Radiation Therapy Practice postgraduate diploma (P.Grad. Dip.) to enable students to critically evaluate and participate in research in their field.

The entry route to the MSc involves successfully completion of the Advanced Radiation Therapy Practice P.Grad. Diploma followed by a transfer onto a top-up M.Sc year.

This top-up MSc consists of a research dissertation (30 ECTs) completed over 12 months.

This online education programme aims to develop students’ knowledge and skills in the advanced radiation therapy management of cancer patients and to enable students to critically evaluate and participate in research in this area.

It is aimed at Radiation Therapy professionals that:

  • Are seeking to expand their career into advanced clinical practice, management or/and research.
  • Wish to work in an extended role in their department.
  • Are returning to employment and may wish to update their knowledge on current evidence based practice.
  • he postgraduate certificate consists of 3 online modules completed over 12 months:
  • Imaging for advanced radiotherapy practice (10ECTs)
  • Delineation for radiotherapy planning (10 ECTs)
  • Advances in radiation therapy (10ECTs)

On successful completion of this certificate, you may choose to register to complete three additional modules towards the award of a postgraduate diploma.

The postgraduate diploma consists of 6 online modules completed over 12 months:

  • Imaging for advanced radiotherapy practice (10ECTs)
  • Delineation for radiotherapy planning (10 ECTs)
  • Advances in radiation therapy (10ECTs)
  • Research Methods (10ECTs)
  • Health Services Management (10ECTs)
  • Radiobiological principles and practice (10ECTs)

On successful completion of this Diploma, you may choose to register for an MSc top up year and complete a Research Dissertation module towards the award of a MSc.
