Key features

-Fast-track your progression with the introduction of a one-year, full-time mode of study. You can choose from three award pathways with full and part-time options: Postgraduate Certificate (PgCert), 60 credits; Postgraduate Diploma (PgDip), 120 credits; and Masters (MSc), 180 credits. The full-time route will normally take one year and the part-time route will normally take two years.

-Have time to reflect with both core and pathway specific modules taught using blended learning techniques, combining short study blocks with distance learning technologies.
-Get support from experienced and enthusiastic staff who encourage your personal development.
-Take advantage of single, stand-alone modules that can be taken for Continuing Professional Development.
-Take the opportunity to study in an inter-professional setting with inter-professional core modules. You’ll gain professional insights through our collaboration with the Business Faculty on both the core modules.
-Become an evidence-based practitioner equipped to manage and lead in dynamic settings with our core modules applying evidence to practice and developing self and others.
-Tailor your learning to the workplace through module assignments.

As this programme is designed for qualified practitioners there is no requirement of a clinical placement component. Neither the programme nor any of its pathways lead to eligibility to apply for registration with a regulatory body.

With our emphasis on self-directed learning, you’ll be expected to read around the subject and actively engage in face-to-face and online tasks. You’ll learn through a mixture of lectures followed by small group work, and tutorials to support your development. You will benefit from assessment by written coursework with no written exams. In some modules, where there are skills components, there may be a practical assessment. Our teaching is underpinned by current research, giving you the opportunity to work closely with experienced staff on your own research project.
