About this course

On completion of this course, you will be awarded:

  • Advanced International Business Management MSc from Newcastle University 
  • International Business Management MSc from the University of Groningen

The course covers the main aspects of business in an international context, including:

  • strategic management and organisation
  • managing across cultures
  • financial management and financial risk
  • economics and marketing.

What you'll learn

You will focus on the comparative analyses of countries, institutions and cultures. This is in context with the strategic decision-making of companies in an international environment.

You will develop crucial interpersonal skills and learn how to:

  • improve the quality of organisational management, leadership and practice
  • develop your capacity for enquiry, problem solving, critical thinking and analysis

Delivery

Semester one is taught at Newcastle University Business School. Semester two is taught at the Faculty of Economics and Business at the University of Groningen. Both universities teach the course in English, so you do not need knowledge of the Dutch language.

You will also complete a dissertation on a topic that you have studied during the course. You can choose whether to study at Newcastle or Groningen during this process. You will receive joint support and guidance, with a supervisor from each institution.

There are many opportunities to engage with organisations through guest lectures and live case studies. We also encourage you to engage with organisations through your dissertation research.

Facilities
