About the course

Advanced robotics is progressing the capabilities of control systems. Enrich your engineering degree by developing a focused, integrated and critically aware understanding of control systems engineering theory, policy and practice with our MSc Advanced Control Systems postgraduate degree.

Entry Requirements

You will need a minimum of 2:2 honours degree with significant numerate content comparable to first degrees in engineering.

We also welcome enquiries from applicants who may not meet the formal/traditional entry criteria, but do hold relevant experience or skills that could facilitate successful postgraduate study. Our School of Science, Engineering and Environment offers a limited number of high-value scholarships to applicants across its postgraduate programmes based on academic merit. A Computer, Science and Engineering International Excellence Scholarship is worth £3,500.

To be eligible for this scholarship you must hold an offer for an eligible programme*, achieve at least a second class upper degree and meet your offer conditions by the admissions deadline

*Please note, this scholarship is not available for MSc Petroleum and Gas Engineering or MSc Gas Engineering and Management as a different scholarship is available for the courses.

Application Procedure

There is no separate application process for this scholarship. You will be assessed when you apply for your chosen programme of study. If you are successfully offered this scholarship, to receive the funding you must accept your offer of admission and pay your tuition fee deposit by the deadline specified.

If you're a postgraduate applicant, you must hold an offer for an eligible programme, achieve a first-class degree and meet your offer conditions by the admission's deadline.

You may apply for this scholarship if you have already been awarded a different scholarship. However, in line with the terms and conditions, you can only receive one scholarship - the one with the highest value.

Application Procedure

There is no separate application process for this scholarship. You will be assessed when you apply for your chosen programme of study for the 2021-22 intake. If you are successfully offered this scholarship, you must accept your offer of admission and pay your tuition fee deposit by the deadline specified in order to receive the funding.
