Are you a nurse, physiotherapist, paramedic or other health care professional? This programme is an ideal way to improve your own professional practice and further your clinical practice, skills and leadership on top of evidence based leadership, research and development. The programme is framed on the four pillars of advanced practice:

  • Clinical Practice
  • Facilitating Learning
  • Leadership and Evidence
  • Research and Development

The programme supports professional growth whether you work in acute care, primary care or the community. It is delivered in partnership with Grampian NHS clinicians and researchers. You benefit from a range of expertise at advanced clinical level to provide more research or an applied approach. You will learn and develop core knowledge about advanced practice with this programme. You can start with a PgCert and go on to study the two courses for the medical prescribing qualification. You can then go on to study to PgDip and MSc level. There is also a high degree of hands on practical experience via a blended learning approach which includes lectures and teaching resources which are available online.
