Chemical Engineers have always been in demand across a multitude of sectors and the need for well qualified skills engineers with capabilities to adapt their skills across a wide range of industries has never been greater.

The programme gives you further strengths in separation and purification, pollution control, dynamics of fluid, upstream processing (oil and gas), loss of containment in the environment, reactor design, design layout and materials, risk analysis and human analysis of risk in process and design engineering. From the programme you can work in chemical engineering science, design, practice, clean energies, process safety, management and environmental protection areas. You can also work in oil and gas processing fields, petrochemicals, fine chemicals, beverages, environmental waste management, materials, agrochemicals or combinations. Many of these industries require new ways to work in order to meet strict legal targets and others are in a period of growth in terms of new knowledge.

Your skills are also much in demand to define specific chemical engineering aspects within smart technology where a lot of work is going on to bring continuous improvement and innovation to challenging aspects of applied chemical engineering processes such as detection of failure for example. You could be part of Industry 4.0 the new revolution which is a game changer in how we manage our environment and the new technology presents endless possibilities to develop chemical sensors.
