MS in Energy Systems Management

Develop the skills to become a leader in the fast-moving energy field. Our students learn the science, economics, and policy driving the move toward smart, climate-friendly technologies such as renewable energy, green buildings, and electric vehicles.

  • Accommodating Schedule — Classes are held in the evenings to serve the needs of both traditional students and working professionals.
  • Industry Access — Learn from leading researchers and practicing experts with years of experience in the energy field.
  • Career Opportunities — The rapid growth of clean technologies and heightened environmental concern are driving innovation in the energy industry. Our program provides the skills wanted by employers in tech companies, utilities, non-profits, and government agencies.

Electric energy systems are rapidly transforming, making jobs in the energy sector among the fastest growing in the U.S. The MS in Energy Systems Management program will equip students for energy management positions in the public, private, and nonprofit sectors to support a low carbon future.

Students will gain a foundational understanding of the technical and policy dynamics that are working to modernize the electricity grid. This includes new policy and program development necessary to integrate distributed energy resources such as energy storage and solar that are not only environmentally friendly but also assets to the grid in providing security and reliability.
