A VIBRANT CITY
Exeter itself is the regional capital city and has excellent transport links and amenities. There are direct trains from Exeter St. David’s to London Paddington and Birmingham New Street, both of which take approximately 3 hours’ journey time.
Exeter has a population of 118,800 and is notable for its low crime rate. The city has a relaxed atmosphere and provides year-round entertainment to suit all tastes. Every summer Exeter plays host to a large-scale arts festival featuring many international performers from a vast range of disciplines. Our high quality of life has encouraged many major firms, most recently the Met Office, to relocate here. Devon enjoys one of the mildest climates in the UK.
The surrounding countryside is another benefit; the university is within easy reach of areas of outstanding natural beauty, such as Dartmoor, Exmoor and the Devonshire coast.
A BEAUTIFUL LOCATION
The College of Engineering, Mathematics and Physical Sciences is based on the University’s Streatham campus, which covers 250 acres of landscaped parkland. The campus is only 10 minutes’ walk from the train station and 15 minutes’ walk from the city centre. Students describe the campus’ atmosphere as “personal, friendly and safe”.
