The College of Arts and Humanities comprises of six departments: Academi Hywel Teifi, Adult Continuing Education, English Language & Literature, History and Classics; Languages Translation and Communication and Political and Cultural Studies.
The Arts and Humanities Graduate Centre fosters and supports individual and collaborative research activity of international excellence and offers a vibrant and supportive environment for students pursuing postgraduate research and taught master's study. The Centre provides postgraduate training to enhance academic and professional development and facilitates participation in seminar programmes, workshops and international conferences.

The MA in Ancient History and Classical Culture offers a wide range of modules on the history and culture of ancient Greece and Rome, drawing on the expertise of internationally recognised scholars. Read more
The Department of English Language and Literature welcomes applications from students wishing to pursue graduate level research at MA level in Applied Linguistics, particularly topics in second language acquisition, bilingualism, vocabulary learning, corpus linguistics and discourse analysis. The MA in Chinese-English Translation and Language is offered to Chinese students who are first language Mandarin speakers, interested in pursuing a career in applied language skills, including translating and teaching English or Chinese as a foreign language. Read more
The MA in Classics studies Greek and Latin language, literature and civilisation. The MA in Classics allows students to develop advanced reading skills in ancient languages and to apply them to the study of a selection of some of the most important literary texts from the ancient world. Read more
