As a graduate student in the Department of Chemical and Petroleum Engineering, you'll have the opportunity to make a difference in the world by being part of an active research community that conducts valuable research on practical problems.

Our department attracts over $15 million each year in research funding and is internationally recognized for its research in biomedical engineering, chemical processing, energy, environment, and advanced materials.

The Schulich School of Engineering is located in Calgary, the energy capital of Canada, which gives us a strong connection to the oil and gas industry. Our professors understand the needs and challenges of the industry and can prepare students for successful careers in this growing and evolving sector.
