We equip you with the skills and knowledge to appreciate the depth and breadth of management and organisational theories and techniques and apply these within a social science context. The content of our course is a direct response to requirements for, and suggested improvements in, research training laid down by the Economic and Social Research Council (ESRC).

Our professionally accredited MSc Accounting and Financial Management is designed for those who have not studied accounting before, but have a degree in business, economics or another related subject. We provide a comprehensive grounding in corporate analysis and reporting, as well as building your confidence in financial decision-making. You then tailor your studies to suit your preferred career direction in industry, commerce or professional services by choosing from optional modules.

You cover topics including:

-Management accounting and control
-Theoretical and critical approaches to accounting and financial management
-Analysis of financial statements
