Studying for an MBA is not just about gaining a course or qualification; it’s about your future. Whether your goal is to become an executive or an entrepreneur, The Essex MBA can accelerate your career by developing your capacity to innovate, think and act strategically.
The Essex MBA is distinct. It focuses on the key themes of innovative entrepreneurship and sustainable international business. We foster your entrepreneurial spirit so you build sustainable, resilient business models that make sense to shareholders and the environment. You explore the impacts of internationalisation on businesses, suppliers and customers and gain the skills to lead in increasingly demanding marketplaces.
You learn more than theory and practice. The Essex MBA attracts students from across the world, who bring with them a wealth of expertise and experience. They create a collaborative learning experience and share ideas and knowledge to develop not just their own capabilities, but their classmates’.
You learn the fundamentals of management and leadership and have the opportunity to specialise through a choice of optional modules. Your course begins with a week of activities to develop your networking, team work and adaptive thinking skills and ends with an MBA project, where you chose to complete a dissertation or comprehensive business plan.
You join Essex Business School, which is placed in the top 25 in the UK for research excellence (REF 2014).
We also offer an Executive MBA where you can opt for a two or three year pathway to complete your MBA alongside your existing employment or running your own business. Our MBA scholarship can also offer you up to a £5,000 discount if you're funding your own studies.
