Masters degrees in Biomedical Engineering specialise in the design and implementation of solutions and processes for medical analysis, research and the improvement of healthcare. Most courses are interdisciplinary, drawing on branches of Science, Engineering and Medicine.
These programmes tend to award MSc or MSc (Eng) degrees. Research Masters such as the MRes and MPhil are also offered.
Biomedical Engineering is a relatively new field, but it offers opportunities to make a big impact on human health. Courses typically offer a range of specialisations, from Tissue Engineering and Nanotechnology to Regenerative Medicine and Biosensing.
