Intensive mode delivery

Intensive Mode Delivery is a compact and time efficient way to complete a postgraduate qualification with minimal impact on professional and personal lifestyles. Each subject is delivered over two weekends during the semester. There are two sets of three-day sessions per subject, scheduled Thursday to Saturday (approximately six to eight contact hours per day) with a break of four or five weeks between session one and session two of each subject.

Participants will receive 40 hours of combined lectures, discussion groups, case studies and workshops during contact hours. International students are required to be on campus every week.

Bond’s building surveying programs have been accredited by both the AIBS and RICS thereby satisfying the educational requirements for accreditation at the level of Certifier Levels 1, 2 and 3 in Queensland. Upon gaining accreditation with the AIBS or RICS, graduates may be eligible for a licence as a building certifier with the Queensland Building and Construction Commission. In this course you will choose to major in continence and women’s health or manipulative therapy. In both majors you will study the philosophy of evidence-based practice and develop practical skills in identifying, acquiring, evaluating and using evidence. You will further your clinical decision-making skills through the use of statistical analysis, including the examination of various forms of statistical testing.

The rest of your studies will comprise specialised coursework units and clinical practice. During your clinical practice you will detail a variety of case histories and evaluate each as a reflective practitioner.

Continence and Women's Health

This major will provide you with the opportunity to become an expert clinician in women's health physiotherapy and its related areas of practice. In this major you will develop clinical skills in the assessment and management of conditions which are unique, common or serious to women, or require special interventions in women.

You will develop particular expertise in the management of pelvic floor dysfunction and its presentations, including bladder and bowel dysfunction, disorders of the pelvic organ and pelvic girdle support, sexual dysfunction and pelvic pain.

This course is suited to applicants with knowledge and expertise from other disciplines as well as those with formal qualifications in art or design. Through a combination of coursework, project-based units, and professional placements you'll learn the skills and knowledge required to produce contemporary design and art solutions.

Upon successful completion of the graduate certificate, you may then subsequently enrol in the master degree.

Career opportunities

Graduates of design and art generally find employment within all avenues of design, including design studios, advertising agencies, public relations and marketing organisations. Your research project can aid further in niche specialisation and self employment.

Applications for credit for recognised learning (CRL) are assessed on an individual basis.

This course provides an introduction to the planning principles, practices and techniques used by urban and regional planners. A distinguishing characteristic of the course is the use of interdisciplinary knowledge and techniques in addressing environmental, social and design issues of concern to the community. It is suitable if you do not have a background in planning or if you are a practising planner from a developing country.

A distinguishing characteristic of the course is the use of interdisciplinary knowledge and techniques in addressing environmental, social and design issues of concern to the community. It is now widely accepted that successful human settlements must be properly planned and a range of statutory and non-statutory controls exist at all levels of government to protect the public interest in the development process. The involvement of individuals and community groups in the preparation and implementation of plans is now considered vital to successful development outcomes.

Career opportunities

Graduates find employment as local and State government planners, private planning consultants, researchers or academics. They work for development companies, regional development authorities, housing and transport agencies, environmental authorities and Commonwealth agencies.
