This programme gives you a solid advanced set of skills and processes to allow to analyse in all sorts of situations. You may be evaluating projects, observing issues with IT and people using systems, or understanding why people reacted to a specific issue in the way they did. You may end up working for research agencies, social research departments within public sector organisations, private research companies such as Ipsos and Mori which are well known and third sector organisations. Your degree will allow you to work in wide ranging sectors and you can go on to teach and research, publishing in your own right.

The programme educates you to gain knowledge, understanding and skills in quantitative and qualitative methods; and in transferable skills to enable you to communicate research findings to a wide range of audiences. If you don't want to study for MRes there are a number of options open to you which will add value to either your current career or allow you to consider a change of direction.  The programme is very flexible so if you want to apply for this programme you can apply in any month of the year. You get  great range of project work, presentations, essays and practice in communication. Teaching is provided from a virtuous circle of internationally respected research in the Centre for European Survey Research and New Europe Centre for Global Security Governance.
