This program develops student competencies to exceed the accreditation requirements of the Dietitians Association of Australia, making graduates eligible to apply for accredited practising dietitian (APD) status within the Dietitians Association of Australia. This program is distinctive because of its emphasis on developing evidence-based practitioners that have had intensive preparation in evidence-based dietetic practice, nutrition research and international engagement. The Bond University Master of Nutrition and Dietetic Practice program uses an education model comprising a combination of lectures, workshops, case studies, field trips, simulations, internships and research. In keeping with the program philosophy of producing dietitians with a difference, the program places an emphasis on real-world experience from the first semester. Students engage in activities such as case-based learning and simulation to develop their competency as nutrition professionals.
Specialist consultant practitioners and dietitians with industry expertise provide students with insight into dietetic practice and career opportunities in the profession. Students also benefit from the extensive professional experience of nutrition and dietetic academic staff in a range of fields, including clinical dietetics, sports nutrition, the food industry, private practice and public health nutrition, as well as their national and international professional networks.
Students will have the opportunity to participate in relevant workshops offered by the Bond University Centre for Research in Evidence-Based Practice (CREBP), providing them access to highly qualified academics with international research track records, some of whom are responsible for developing global evidence-based nutrition guidelines.
The Master's programme in International Tourism and Aviation Management with Internship seeks to prepare aspiring individuals for a managerial career within either the tourism or aviation industry. The course offers the opportunity to interpret and assess trends and changing management practices within the tourism and aviation industry. In doing so it widens career opportunities and the possibility of movement between the two sectors. The mode of study is full-time - studied over 18 months and the internship component is completed after all taught modules have been passed.
You will be expected to undertake a total of 1,200 hours of planned full-time work experience or internship in a tourism or aviation organisation. Normally this will equate to 30 weeks spent with your internship employer completing various work related roles and tasks and completing the various guided learning activities required as part of your programme. The University does not guarantee an internship and you will need to be proactive in finding what might be considered a suitable intern position. To prepare you for the internship one assessed module: Organisational Behaviour in Theory and Practice is incorporated within the course.
The MA programme adopts an interdisciplinary approach to the study of tourism and aviation management, by drawing upon international case study material, to understand the global operations of both the tourism and aviation sectors. The course seeks to exploit synergies between the tourism and aviation industries to critically inspect the management-related issues, which is a key strength of the programme structure. The programme is taught by experienced team of academics, all with a background in either tourism and/or aviation management. Many of these staff are extensively published and are asked to speak at events and conferences throughout the world.
There are several practice based features of the course, in addition to the internship. These may include guest speakers from industry, use of industry relevant briefs, field work, trips and visits, which can be used to inform teaching, learning and assessment.
The Internship course seeks to provide a dynamic element to the programme introducing the principles of learning through work and allowing you to apply theoretical constructs taught on the course to a 'real world' situation. The MA International Tourism and Aviation Management with Internship is a course that suits students wishing to further apply the principles and practices of management introduced in the course through actual practise or for students seeking further work experience to enhance their professional portfolio.

MA International Tourism and Aviation Management with Internship adopts a blended teaching and learning strategy. This includes the use of lectures, tutorials, seminars, self-managed personal research and learning through work experience. The use of information and communications technology together with electronic learning support materials and e-books are central to the delivery of the curriculum. A feature of our learning approach is the use of industry-based briefs.
Assessments feature both formative (in-course) and summative (final) assessment. Normally a module comprises of no more than two or three pieces of work. No formal examinations are set. The course embraces the use of essays, reports, presentations, case studies, portfolios, audits, in-class tests, project plans, industry-based briefs, business games and work-place simulation (to name but a few). Traditionally the teaching, learning and assessment strategy of the school at Masters level has been to engage with a wide variety of assessment techniques reflecting the broad abilities of different students to meet the assessment outcomes of the various modules.

The internship requires that you work for a minimum of 1,200 hours (equivalent to 30 weeks) with a hospitality employer. These positions can be in either paid or non-paid employment. The important thing is that the internship allows you to apply the theoretical knowledge acquired on your course to a practical work-based situation. The internship will allow you to improve and acquire new skills, explore various career opportunities, network and work with others a part of a team.
It will also enhance your understanding of the world of work and what constitutes professional practice in the workplace. In doing so the internship seeks to enhance your career prospects and allow you to become more focussed in determining a potential career pathway. Please note the University does not guarantee a work placement for your internship – the onus is with the student to pro-actively seek an internship, which requires working closely with the placements team.
The course combines, academic rigor with contemporary managerial and strategic issues in luxury hospitality management. Whilst this enhances your employability in the growing and dynamic hospitality industry, it can also be applied to a range of other professions.
Skills such as brand management or customer experience are also valuable in industries such as PR or advertising, whilst studying business in a global context prepares you for numerous other career paths.

The PGCE Physics provides a clear, thoughtful and critical introduction to teaching Physics, drawing on leading education research carried out at King’s. We work in close partnership with schools in designing, delivering and assessing our course in order to develop excellent, reflective classroom practitioners.
During the year you will spend over 50 days at university and 120 days in schools. You will work with other trainees and tutors in your subject area to consider the principles and practice of teaching your subject including curriculum design, the development of materials, classroom management and lesson planning. You will also work with trainees from other subjects in a programme of lectures and seminar groups to examine a broad range of educational issues. During both secondary school placements there are occasional days in college for tutorials to support and monitor progress towards the standards for Qualified Teacher Status (QTS). There are crosscurricular research tasks and assignments.
There are two blocks of school experience, one starting in the autumn and the other in the spring. You will spend time observing other teachers and their classes before beginning to teach yourself. You will teach more during the second school experience than you will in the first one. During the year you will also complete a short placement in a primary school so that you can see what pupils experience before they arrive in secondary school.
The course includes residential fieldwork based at the Field Studies Council centre in Surrey. There are many other opportunities for you to develop your abilities to teach beyond the classroom, in the school grounds and beyond.
School Direct Route offered: The School Direct Non Salaried teacher training route is composed of a partnership between King’s College London and a Lead School. Students apply to the Lead School for admission to the programme. The academic components of the course are delivered by King’s College London whilst the secondary school teaching experience is organised by the Lead School.
The aim of our course is to make you an effective teacher of science and to help you develop high professional standards. The course is designed to prepare science teachers to work in secondary schools as part of a team that teaches science up to Year 11 and physics to Years 12 and 13 (post-16).
You can typically expect:
* This 120 day figure represents the standard number of placement days. In certain cases, following assessment by course tutors and mentors, students may be required to undertake a greater number of placement days to demonstrate their ability to meet the Teacher Standards.
** Typically each trainee will have a meeting with their mentor during each week they are on placement. In certain circumstances the frequency may vary.
The types of learning commitment encompassed within the course vary depending on modules. For this course one credit represents the equivalent of 10 hours of learning and engagement.
Students undertake placements in secondary schools that work in partnership with King’s College London. Partnership schools are located across central London and the Greater London area. Whilst every effort is made to place PGCE trainees in local schools, due to the changing nature of initial teacher education and limited availability of placements in certain subject areas, trainees should be prepared to travel to their placement schools throughout the Greater London area and beyond.
Students also organise their own placement at a state primary school. Further information on this short placement is provided during the course.

A full list of companies can be provided upon request. The 8 to 12 weeks industrial placement will take place in the period from June to September.
You'll take the compulsory module Civil Engineering Design Projects. This module gives you the opportunity to work on real projects. You can choose between a renewable energy project or an industrial project. You’ll develop comprehensive and innovative designs that involve structural engineering, geotechnical engineering and water engineering, management, environmental and financial planning.
In additional to the industrial placement you'll also take the compulsory module Research Protocols for Science & Engineering which supports the dissertation project. You also have a wide choice of optional modules.
Following successful completion of the taught component, you’ll undertake a dissertation. If you’re on one of the specialist streams you’ll undertake a research project on a topic related to that stream. The dissertation can be linked to the industrial placement and worked on together with the industrial partner.

This degree is accredited as meeting the requirements for Further Learning for a Chartered Engineer (CEng) for candidates who have already acquired a partial CEng accredited undergraduate first degree.
For candidates whose first language is not English, minimum standards of English proficiency are an IELTS score of 6.5. Applicants with slightly lower scores have the opportunity to attend the University's Pre-Sessional English classes to bring them up to the required level. Some exceptions to the above may apply to nationals of UKBA-approved Majority English Speaking countries.
The Pre-Masters Programme is a preparation course for international students (non EU/UK) who do not meet the entry requirements for a Masters degree at the University of Strathclyde. The Pre-Masters programme provides progression to a number of degree options
