The aim of UCLan’s Master of Science in Synthetic Organic Chemistry course is to provide an intellectually stimulating and satisfying experience of learning and studying modern aspects of organic chemistry.
MSc in Advanced Organic Chemistry. Building on your undergraduate training in chemistry, this MSc allows you to gain a deeper understanding of the subject, whilst developing advanced knowledge in aspects of organic chemistry.
Our one-year course combines the opportunity to take modules from a wide range of cutting-edge fields in chemistry with sessions on practical, technical skills, scientific writing, communication and presentation, and a three month summer project.
The programme provides you with strong knowledge on one or more of the following topics. design and synthesis of new drugs, radiolabelling and enhanced targeting of drugs, or screening, isolation and modification of new drug candidates from bioactive plants.
The MChem Analytical Chemistry programme at Plymouth provides a pathway for progression through a broadly based undergraduate degree in Chemistry with increasing specialisation in Analytical Chemistry from levels four to seven.
The master of science degree in chemistry is offered on a full- or part-time basis. The program is designed to fill the needs of the traditional student or the practicing chemist who is employed full time and wishes to pursue a graduate degree on a part-time basis.
These exciting 12-month postgraduate Masters degrees consist of taught, advanced level, lecture courses and also provide an opportunity to conduct high-level research within one of the world class groups in the School of Chemistry.
