Your MBA will begin with a two-week online induction designed to prepare you for online learning at Leeds, and to introduce the study skills you will need to successfully complete your Online MBA.
The programme includes 10 modules and you will typically spend eight weeks studying each module. The modules cover a variety of subject areas to provide you with fundamental business skills and knowledge, as well as an opportunity to gain insights into contemporary topics within the dynamic global business environment. Subjects include information management, international business and strategic management. You will also explore how to manage and lead people in organisations.
The programme culminates in your MBA Project, giving you the opportunity to apply your newly acquired skills and knowledge to the resolution of a live business problem, or to investigate an academic research topic in-depth.
You can take the programme at your own pace and adapt your studies to fit around your work and life commitments. To give you flexibility, it is possible to pause your studies and take them up again at a later point. This means you can choose to complete the Online MBA in a minimum of two years or up to a maximum of four years.
You will study 10 compulsory modules and complete the programme with your MBA Project. Your modules of study will include four Foundation modules, five Development modules and a final Research Methods module completed before commencing your project.

The programme will feature a range of multimedia and interactive content, discussion activities, and a diverse mix of individual and collaborative learning.
All course materials and communications will be delivered online, so it is vital that you have regular and reliable access to the internet. We recommend a high speed broadband internet connection with a minimum speed of 1.5 Mbps.
You will need regular access to a personal computer, or laptop, with a webcam. You will also need the ability to view PDF documents and to open and edit standard Microsoft Office documents. As a University of Leeds student you will be given free access to Microsoft Office Online.
All live sessions will be available at a suitable time to ensure flexibility and meet the needs of students in a range of time zones, meaning you can join a session at a time to suit you.
Assessment methods will emphasise not just knowledge, but essential skill development too. They will typically include essays, examinations, written reports, multiple-choice and short-answer tests, reflective blogs, participation in online discussions, and a mix of group and individual presentations made online.
