On the legal side you understand the regulation of the oil and gas industry from the heart of the industry in Aberdeen gaining valuable teaching rooted in research and learning from decades of studying and collaborating with the energy industry. On top of this huge knowledge base across the supply chain you gain further knowledge of managing uncertainty, licensing, taxation, and contracts which require a degree of legal and economic knowledge. The part-time MSc Renewable Energy Systems is the first cross-border program in Europe dealing with the future issues of alternative energy production. Since 2005, TU Wien, Energiepark Bruck/Leitha and further partner organisations across Europe have offered this practice-oriented master’s program.
With this comprehensive education in the field of renewable energy you acquire knowledge and competence for the design of plants for the use of renewable energy sources from an economic and legal point-of-view, the operation of plants and the future assessment of environmental, technical and economic developments of renewable energy systems.

Oil and gas law gives you a wide range of knowledge to manage the affairs of international oil and gas companies within the full spectrum of law careers plus the knowledge to work within regulation and offer expertise in case law developments within the various environmental laws involved at government level. This is a specialist area of environmental law in which you study the hydrocarbon industry in terms of corporate liability and responsibility, downstream energy law, investment and arbitration law which is relevant when working with other companies on high risk exploration areas. This is an internationally relevant programme due to the nature and operations of the oil and gas industry.
Courses offered cover licensing and other methods of state control of hydrocarbon resources, commercial contracting, regulation of the oil and gas industry, principles of environmental law and maritime planning. This MSc will help you explore the latest methods of developing drugs and therapeutic compounds for humans and animals and disease control agents for plants.
You will learn about marketing, licensing and regulations, which are all part of the development process. Our multidisciplinary approach links structural biology, bioinformatics, chemistry and pharmacology.
You will investigate the fundamental scientific problems and techniques of drug discovery and design, alongside the challenges of developing principles for new therapeutic strategies.
You will have hands-on experience of crystallographic computer programming and computation for bioinformatics.
You will consider the moral and ethical aspects of the agrochemical and pharmaceutical industries through case studies, seminars and discussions.
This programme consists of two semesters of taught courses followed by a research project, leading to a dissertation.

This programme provides a broad overview of the drug discovery and development process and is designed for graduates in science-based subjects as preparation for either PhD-level research or a career in the pharmaceutical industry or with a government regulatory body.
You will gain hands-on experience of molecular modelling and computer-based drug design, and analytical and synthetic techniques and be exposed to modern platforms for drug discovery and methods of drug synthesis.

Students who complete the Drug Delivery and Development MSc will progress to careers in the various aspects of the pharmaceutical and biotechnology industries including research, product development and manufacturing, clinical trials and regulatory affairs.
