This program covers the art and luxury management sector with a focus on France and its cultural excellence. Taught in English, this program explores the management, sales and distribution of luxury products using the themes of taste and luxury à la française from Louis XIV to present-day France. Themes covered include the French arts de la table, fashion, gemology, cosmetics and fragrances, interior design, furniture, art objects and design, scenery and décor, etc.

The innovative academic program combines lectures with practical field visits major historical monuments, fashion houses, and workshops that represent French cultural excellence. Legal aspects, finance, luxury marketing and management, communication and strategic marketing are all taught by professionals.

Direct interaction with industry players will allow students to build up a network of top professionals in the field and discover the savoir-faire of different sectors.

Structure

The year is made up of 3 terms: 2 terms of classes (Oct-Dec/ Jan-March) and a term of professional experience in the form of an internship (April-June). The first term ends with a group project to validate the term. During the last two terms, students will work on a personal project that they will be expected to present in front of a jury in validation of their diploma “Titre I”.

Each trimester consists of 200 hours of classes spread out over a 10-week period. Courses are taught in English.Participants are attributed a mentor for personalized coaching as well as group methodology sessions to guide them in the conception and realization of their personal project.

1st Term :

The history of art and style (17th-21st centuries), art law, the management of art objects and artistic projects communication and the marketing of art and luxury goods, defining an artistic project (content, business plan, legal structure, communication, marketing), meeting with professionals in situ during visits and workshops.

2nd Term:

e-communication and e-marketing of art and luxury products, negotiation of art objects, promotion of an artistic production, a brand or an artist, contemporary art and luxury, organizing an exhibit, the history of l’art de la table, the history of fashion and luxury products (fashion and accessories, wine and spirits, gastronomy, jewelry and watches, cosmetics and fragrances, niche brands), the history of interior design, meetings with professionals in situ for visits and workshops, methodology and follow up on personal projects.

3rd Term:

Thanks to IFA Paris unique combination of campus rotation system and synergetic curriculum, participants will be able to explore the latest market and technological evolutions in the beauty industry in an area of the world (North Asia) considered as the most important source of growth.

The development of 7 special seminars provides participants with “windows” into unique activities or phenomenon of the beauty industry. They are organized across our campuses of Paris and Shanghai according to the market specificities of those 2 locations. While in France students will be exposed to the traditional art of perfume making through an immersive experience thanks to our Olfactory Lab and our seminar titled “Parfums a la Francaise”. During their rotation in Shanghai participants will discover the booming segment of skin care for men and explore the different invasive and non-invasive plastic surgery techniques. The ultimate goal is to offer participants the opportunity to improve their professional portfolio with experiences that will ultimately render their profile more sophisticated and attractive to potential employers.

Finally, from inception to graduation, and regardless of their location, Postgraduate students of IFA Paris will benefit from the support of a unique department called the “Career and Alumni Center”. The industry relation arm of IFA Paris’ academic courses is in charge of organizing bi-weekly guest lectures and field trips to attune our students with the latest trends in the beauty industry.

Our Perfume and Cosmetics Management course covers a wide range of modules clustered into five main module groupings:

Marketing and Management:

This grouping encompasses a series of modules that will be sequentially planned based on the structure of a marketing plan. The overall body of knowledge acquired by the students will prepare them to:

Analyse complex marketing challenges based on practical case studies
Allocate resources strategically to achieve pre-determined objectives
Craft brand DNAs allowing for the achievement of a sustainable competitive advantage

Business Issues:

The capacity to listen and interpret markets’ signals is a key component of today’s managers. It needs to be continuously cultivated. Within this module grouping students will discover the idiosyncrasies of the fashion industry from an economic and financial view point.

Distribution and Retail:

New technologies are shaping the cosmetics and perfume offering of the 21st century in ways that do not always relate to product innovation. A large part of the most recent innovations concern the distribution and retail sector, with interesting cross-overs between the Fashion and the Cosmetics and Perfume industries.

Cosmetics and Perfume Environment:

Is perfume still a luxury? Are socially responsible brands more impactful? How is the impact of the fashion industry in the development of the cosmetics and perfume industry?... This module grouping will challenge students and develop their critical thinking approach in regards with the industry.

Cosmetics and Perfume Lifestyle:

While our MBA Program does not aim at creating technicians we believe it is important for our students to be totally immersed within the environment of cosmetics and perfumes. This is why we have devised a series of groundbreaking seminars and workshops: to allow our students to experience the specificities of the future industry they’ll be working for. From a week in an olfactory lab to test and create perfumes to a foray into the crafting of perfumes “A La Francaise”, everything has been devised to provide a groundbreaking experiential learning.

It advances an interdisciplinary perspective on linkages between global national and local level processes shaping agriculture and rural development by integrating knowledge from the social sciences economics and natural resource studies.

The MA gives an overview of agriculture, rural livelihoods and rural policy and politics to strengthen students analytical skills and to transfer key professional skills of relevance to work on rural development and agriculture. The MA Acting is an intensive one-year, advanced level conservatoire acting course. In keeping with Central’s tradition of innovation in actor training, it offers two specialist strands taught over an extended 42 weeks, with up to 35 hours per week of classes, rehearsals, seminars and tutorials. Successful applicants will be offered a place on one of the two strands.

CLASSICAL STRAND

The Classical strand follows the development of the theatrical art from its earliest ritual roots to the birth of naturalism:

> Greek Tragedy, Chorus and the Neutral Mask

> Clowning and Commedia dell’arte

> Shakespeare and the English Renaissance

> Stanislavski, the Method and ‘Realist’ Theatre.

The Classical strand draws on the hugely influential theories and techniques of the great French acting teacher Michel Saint-Denis, training the expressive body, voice and imagination. Working with some of the greatest dramatic texts ever written, students are asked to consider what they mean now, and how their 21st century reinterpretation and re-imagining still holds a ‘mirror up to nature’. Students are encouraged to understand the demands of both art and craft, as participants in, and practitioners of, the western theatrical tradition, through a course structure that examines, in chronological order, four key periods of innovation and transition.

Overview

Domus Academy has always had a wide and multidisciplinary approach to design research and teaching, which makes it possible to have a wide vision on design. The Master in Interior and Living Design intends to focus on the need to explore all aspects that concern design: from the most technical to the most intuitive ones, and to combine them in order to contemplate the various nuances of meaning in the words to live, to dwell, to use.

Milan offers a wide range of historical and contemporary stimulating examples; its long tradition in experimenting and finding practical solutions to the problems of living and dwelling makes it unique.

In this perspective, the department has created a training project of excellence able to reflect on the changes and transformations of the built space, promoting a permanent research activity for design models and solutions that are appropriate and innovative.

The program includes an internship in a company working in the disciplinary field.

Audience

Candidates holding a first-level academic diploma or BA degree, or about to graduate and with a knowledge of the English language
(IELTS 5.0 academic or equivalent certificate).
The program is addressed to candidates with a curriculum in interior design, design, architecture, engineering, visual arts or other disciplines related to the field of study who are interested in pursuing a course of advanced specialization and looking to expand and improve their skills using new technical and cultural tools in the field of interiors.

The LLM in European Law attracts students from all over the world with an interest in the governance of Europe and the role of its institutions in the global legal order. We offer a broad perspective that encompasses both the law of the supranational European Union and the intergovernmental Council of Europe, including the European Convention on Human Rights.

The School provides a welcoming environment – educational, social and cultural – for the study of European law. The program is aimed at training the various professional profiles involved in the production, management and distribution of photographic images.

The one-year Master’s Program in Photography and Visual Design integrates theoretical study with laboratories and project workshops.

Coursework is enriched by guided visits to research centers and performance spaces, audiovisual production facilities, publishing houses, theatres, artists’ studios, museums, and contemporary art galleries.

Workshops simulating real assignments in real technologically-equipped studios are conducted in collaboration with a network of partner companies and institutions and focus on various project areas from photography exhibitions to magazines, photo/video interactions, and corporate projects.

The second part of the program is dedicated to a period of internship at selected companies or institutions such as publishing companies, editorial offices, photo agencies, photo archives, museums, galleries, or photo studios that could help facilitate their entry into the job market.
