This new MA builds on the success of the BA (Hons) Fashion Management & Marketing course at UCA Epsom and provides a learning environment where you can develop both creative and strategic skills in fashion business, management and marketing.
You’ll be taught the core principles of fashion business and management through a range of approaches, including lectures, seminars, tutorials and workshops, and will undertake both formative and summative assessment including reflective personal blogs and journals.
The course will support you in developing your practice through relevant research, a deep understanding of how the fashion industry operates, and engagement with global fashion brands, in order to plan and produce a major project that is unique to you.
Running throughout the course is a strong emphasis on both independent research and participatory group work. The course is delivered with a mixture of lectures and seminars. Many of the assessments will be based on real world cases and therefore specialist guest speakers and visits to businesses will also form part of the learning journey. At Master’s level, self-management and independent research and study is expected with students being directed and encouraged to deepen their understanding of particular areas of Marketing. Moodle is used as an interactive VLE but the development of a learning community is particularly prevalent at Cardiff Metropolitan with excellent student support.

This programme employs a variety of learning and teaching methods including lectures, seminars, tutorials and group discussions. The modules will utilise methods of learning, teaching and assessment which are appropriate to Masters level study, such as group discussions, presentations, and report writing. Master of Science in Fashion Management Curriculum
The Master of Science in Fashion Management consists of 90 ECTS credits and is offered on a full-time basis. The program consists of 2 consecutive semesters of courses (September – May) followed by a professional experience (from June onwards). The curriculum is developed around introductory courses to build a common managerial background; core management courses with a focus on the industry; and specialized courses in fashion. It also includes French or other foreign language courses.

The Business lab is the core of the program which foresees the integration of fifteen business partners divided into five themed sectors:
● Consulting firms
● Multinational firms
● Luxury and fashion
● Small and medium enterprises
● Healthcare organizations
The integration will be carried out through the involvement of testimonials, case studies, etc. as well as student participation in a field project or internship. Please note that students will be assigned to the project/internship based on the demand for each of the sectors and overall student performance.
