The LLM International Business Law is a dual masters degree jointly offered by Maynooth University Department of Law and the Law School at the Catholic University of Lyon (UCLy); it enables law graduates to further their legal education by gaining a systematic understanding of the critical issues at the forefront of select areas of international business law.
The programme also aims to develop legal research, reasoning, writing, advocacy, and teamwork skills, which are highly sought after by employers. The first semester of the masters is spent at UCLy (from September to December) and the second semester at Maynooth University, (from January to May). At the end of the two semesters, successful students will be awarded a dual qualification: 1.French Master 1 Degree awarded by UCLy and 2. Master of Laws (LLM) awarded by Maynooth University. The language of instruction is English. However, French language courses can be taken for free at UCLy. Experience has shown that students who are comfortable with the language have an easier time assimilating into the culture and have broader experiences during their stay in France.
There is a small amount of funding available to students in the form of an Erasmus Mobility Allowance, even where students have previously availed of Erasmus funding at undergraduate level. The exact amount varies each year, but is likely to be approximately €1,000. As soon as you have accepted a place on the programme, you should complete an Expression of Interest Form and submit this to the International Office.

I did not have a strong base in the French language, but this was not a problem, as the lectures were in English, and classes in French of all levels were provided by the University.”
The first semester (comprised entirely of mandatory modules) of this programme is taught in Lyon and students are required to be resident there. During the second semester in Maynooth, students choose from a range of optional modules.
Students complete 30 taught credits in each semester. Students must complete a dissertation (30 ECTS) during the summer, which can be supervised by either university.

The MA in Asia Pacific Studies/Master of Business Administration program is designed to provide a humanities-based, interdisciplinary degree that applies business expertise to the development of Asia and its impact on global economic systems. Awarded by the USF College of Arts and Sciences and the USF School of Management, the MAPS/MBA program provides a cost and time savings of up to 16 units.

MBA and MAPS courses are offered during the evening on a year-round basis. MBA courses are also offered during the day and in the summer. This schedule allows you the flexibility to pursue the concurrent degree while working or studying full-time.
MAPS/ MBA students complete the MBA program in either a Full-Time MBA cohort or Part-Time MBA cohort. Eight MAPS units are applied to the MBA elective curriculum.
The MAPS/ MBA can be completed on a full-time or part-time basis. Students opting for the full time format can complete the program in as little as three years. If students opt to take the program on a part-time basis, then the duration will be extended.
Understanding the vital role of professional development, our program holds an annual Career and Networking Forum for students, alumni, and others in the USF community to engage with various organizations seeking interns and employees. At the most recent event, over 35 organizations — including businesses, non-profits, and recruiters with a connection to the Asia Pacific — attended and approximately 200 people participated. Representatives from The Asia Foundation, Center for Asian American Media (CAAM), Give2Asia, Pasona, and many others have enjoyed dynamic, productive interactions with students at the Forum.
The Mentor Program is a voluntary, non-credit option offered to students at any time during their two years of study. It presents students with a broad spectrum of possibilities as to how they might apply their degree to their chosen career field and connects students with professionals in their field of interest. The Mentor Program is coordinated by members of the Center for Asia Pacific Studies Executive Advisory Board.
The Professional Development Program (PDP) offers students opportunities to broaden their familiarity with potential career paths and to meet with successful professionals.
The PDP relies heavily on the expertise and voluntary services of working professionals. The majority of these professionals are members of the Center for Asia Pacific Studies Executive Advisory Board. The Board's Professional Development Committee advises the Center for Asia Pacific Studies on the administration and direction of the PDP.
Periodically students in the program are invited to the Executive Networking Evening held on campus in collaboration with the Center for Asia Pacific Studies. Students have the opportunity to meet many of the Center for Asia Pacific Studies' Board members and other professionals in a range of fields.
MAPS students may request training and advice on pursuing a job in an international field, including resume design, mock interviews, and other job training skills.
The MPA is a two-year interdisciplinary graduate programme in public policy and administration. We enable students to make an immediate impact on employers by equipping them with world-class applied and professional skills to understand, analyse and produce effective public policy.
In contrast to similar programmes in other policy schools, we place special emphasis on rigorous empirical training, particularly in economics, econometrics and political science. You will apply these skills to real-world scenarios via the MPA Capstone in the second year of the MPA. Haifa University’s School of Political Sciences, in cooperation with the Institute of International Relations, University of Warsaw, now offers a double-degree International Relations MA whereby students are able to make use of the resources, expertise and comprehensive curriculums of both universities, and receive accreditation from both at the completion of the course of study.
The School of Political Sciences at the University of Haifa, established in 1972, offers students the resources and talent of one of Israel's most prominent academic research centers that is engaged in teaching and scholarship in the fields of diplomacy studies, political thought, international relations, public policy, public administration, local administration, comparative and Israeli politics. The Division of International Relations was established in 2000 as part of the School of Political Sciences and plays an important role in training the future generation of researchers and practitioners in the field of International Relations.
Students will spend two semesters of study at each institution and, including a written thesis, will cover a curriculum at Haifa University that has been crafted to elucidate the key role of diplomacy in addressing the broad cluster of issues that affect the Mediterranean and Middle East regions, and which can no longer be effectively dealt with exclusively from a narrow unilateral or bilateral vantage point.
The focus on the role of collaborative diplomatic mechanisms is designed to provide students with new insights, concepts and analytical tools for fully understanding the enhanced functions of diplomacy in an international setting. The program is thus intended to enable students to identify effective solutions for a broad range of political, cultural and economic issues with which they will be faced in the field. The Master in Management at ESC Clermont in France is a 2-year programme taught entirely in English and accredited by the Ministry of Higher Education and Research.
