HEC Paris’ Master in Management (MiM) is the international students’ gateway to the prestigious Grande Ecole program, created in 1881, and a fantastic world of opportunities.

World-class Student Body

The Grande Ecole program is designed for high potential students from all backgrounds with little or no professional experience, driven to become influential leaders in tomorrow’s world.

A Unique Two-Phase Curriculum to Boost Your Career

The Grande Ecole curriculum is divided into a generalist phase and a specialization phase. The first phase concentrates on business fundamentals while the second one focuses on acquiring expertise around the professional goals of the student. The nature of the specialization determines the Master’s degree that the student will finally receive: Management, Management & Business Law, Management and Public Affairs…

This unique curriculum structure enables students to acquire both an excellent grounding in general management and an expertise in a specific field. We firmly believe this combination is the key success factor in training future leaders and making a lasting impact on the careers of our students. In fact, our graduates combine the rare ability to grasp the ‘global picture’ in all situations and a deep understanding that only experts can truly reach.

The program consists of:

  • M1: mandatory foundation courses in general management, electives and a managerial behavior seminarin
  • M2: a specialization, an optional certificate and an in-depth research paper.

Moreover, the Grande Ecole program, created in 1881, perfectly balances the development of practical leadership and professional skills with the more theoretical requirements, such as a final research paper within the specialization. Students are trained to become decision-makers while focusing on the academic specialization that they choose in light of their professional goals. With the diversity of courses and specializations available, students can develop expertise in several areas of business administration, shape their career plans, all while preparing their entry into the business world through company internships.

A Wide Range of Specialisations

In M2, students have access to a wide range of specializations, which then determine the Master’s degree that the student will finally receive:

  • Master in Management: Strategy, Finance, Marketing, Financial Economics, Economics, Entrepreneurship, etc.Master in Public Affairs: Public Policy, International Relations, DiplomacyMaster in Business LawMaster in Sustainability and Social InnovationMaster in Journalism (taught in French only)Master in Media, Arts & Creation (taught in French only)Master in Cognitive Sciences (with ENS Ulm)

At ITS (Monash), we recognise that the next important challenge and opportunity will present itself through availability of live data and low-priced technology to travellers. There will be soon over 3 billion people with connected devices and more than 210 billion sensors out there that will provide a once-in-generation opportunity to tackle issues of complex transport and urban mobility for modern cities. At ITS (Monash) we have aligned our research focus and efforts to take advantage of this new leap in mobility, opportunity to change the way we travel, create sustainable transport, and work toward more liveable cities.

The ever increasing demand for organically produced foods requires new and different production systems. In order to create such sustainable organic production systems a fresh scientific approach is needed. The university has created a programme to train academic professionals who want to work in this field.

Study programme

The Organic Agriculture programme has been designed to train students in multiple aspects of organic agriculture and the associated processing and marketing chain. An important goal is to prepare the students for interdisciplinary teamwork at an academic level.

On the programme of Organic Agriculture page you can find the general outline of the programme and more detailed information about courses, theses and internships.

Specialisations

Within the master's programme you can choose one of the following Specialisations to meet your personal interests.

Your future career

The experience and diverse skills our students acquire working in interdisciplinary teams on practical cases, make them eligible for a broad range of jobs. Graduates of this programme will have career opportunities in agribusiness, research, extension, non-governmental organisations and public administration. Overview

This innovative master program enables you to meet the demands of employers in the scientific field worldwide. You will be trained in all aspects of cutting edge molecular stem cell biology including legal and ethical aspects, good medical practice and acquisition of third party funding. The course combines cutting edge approaches such as iPSC and bioprinting with traditional basic disciplines such as histology to secure an in-depth understanding towards innovative translational approaches in medicine. The course is entirely taught in English.

Learning outcome

Holding our degree means you have acquired a robust expertise in theory and practice in one of the most scientifically and ethically demanding biomedical fields of today.

During the first year of the program, students achieve a fundamental understanding of developmental processes that are linked to the current progress of stem cell research. This theoretical knowledge is further deepened and expanded on by hands-on experience in the relevant laboratories.

The inclusion of local national and international guest lecturers gives students the opportunity to get an idea what is going on in the field of stem cell research and which labs can be chosen for specialized practicals.

During the second year, the curriculum emphasizes application-oriented courses suited to understand the cellular and molecular basis of human diseases and to familiarize with the complex demands of modern medicine. The 4th semester is reserved for the master thesis; multiple international collaborations and a mobility window offer the chance to perform practicals and master thesis abroad.

Modules

The major modules in the program are listed below:

Stem Cell Physiology (I and II)
3x Lecture Series on recent developments in stem cell research (by national and international experts)
Bioinformatics
Stem Cell Practical Courses- 2 weeks-long practical courses (4 times)
Molecular Tracing Methods
Molecular Genetic Methods
Tissue Engineering
Lab Rotation
Pathology of Degenerative Diseases
Course in Animal Care and Handling
Scientific Responsibility in Biomedicine
Lab Bench Project & Grant Writing
Master Project
Language Courses

Possibility for International Double degree program `Stem Cell Biology and Regenerative Medicine´

In addition to the regular master program, we also offer a double degree master program in `Stem Cell Biology and Regenerative Medicine’ in collaboration with Jinan University in China. This program is supported by the DAAD (Deutscher Akademischer Austauschdienst) with a stipend of 800, -- Euros/month plus travel expenses (flight) for every participating student. The selection for this program will be made from the regular master students. More information is available on our website.

Ruhr University Bochum (RUB)

Ruhr University Bochum (RUB) has a very international outlook and it is closely interconnected with the thriving research and business initiatives of the surrounding Ruhr region. Aside from the RUB, the surrounding Ruhr region offers a lot of opportunities to young researchers, such as 15 universities, 4 Fraunhofer institutes, 4 Leibnitz institutes and 3 Max-Planck institutes, which makes it easy for the students to interact with the experts and get hands-on experience in the state-of-the-art laboratories.

About the MSc Programme

This is a double executive programme with the University of Chicago’s Harris School of Public Policy, designed for professionals working in policy, and the healthcare field.

The large shift in the world’s global resources within the health sector has seen a general increase in the demand for specialised master’s programmes in health policy. This programme responds to this need by preparing students to work as directors, programme managers and health policy advisors in the private sector, government, and more.

This programme will lead to the award of two degrees. LSE modules, which lead to the award of MSc Health Economics and Policy, focus on financing healthcare, cost-effectiveness analysis, pharmaceutical economics, and systematic review and meta-analysis. The University of Chicago modules, which lead to the award of MA in Public Policy (with a certificate in health policy), will focus on microeconomics, statistics, analytical politics, public policy research and strategies and tactics in health policy. The programme includes both a capstone course and a dissertation. These projects are designed to strengthen your professional experience and skills in preparation for the transition from mid-level to leadership positions.

Graduate Destinations

We are aiming to provide students with a theoretical understanding of health care policy developments and to generate a critical awareness of the research that has been conducted into selected areas of health policy and health systems globally. This will help prepare students to work as directors, programme managers and health policy advisors in the private sector (government and public affairs departments), international health organisations, donor agencies, philanthropic organisations and foundations, Ministries of Health and NGOs.
