The Digital Business Strategy program begins in September with an introduction week. Students then follow classes three days per month. Classes end in June. During the program, participants may continue to work or do an internship. A final thesis is required to complete the program.

As a leading university in its field, the Management School has selected to partner with SAP to support its teaching programmes. Are you looking to complement your undergraduate studies with a business-focused master’s degree that will enhance your employability? Do you want to gain experience of the latest techniques for analysing ‘big data’ in order to improve an organisation’s decision making? This two-year course with advanced practice develops broad business skills while also offering a specialist pathway in business analytics.

Specialist modules will cover topics like business intelligence and marketing metrics. You’ll develop your research skills through a master’s dissertation or an investigative consultancy project related to an issue faced by a real client.

In the second year of this course you’ll undertake an internship or further consultancy project. The course fee is divided evenly between year 1 and year 2. In addition, while you can only work twenty hours per week during term time, you can use the extra vacation periods to travel or work full time and help fund your time in the UK.

There is no requirement to have studied business or business analytics at undergraduate level.

Our Digital Asset & Media Management MA takes a comparative and interdisciplinary approach, allowing you to explore and critically assess competing theories and practices from across new media digital management, archival, and information science. This will provide you with a well-rounded understanding of the requirements across many domains. In recent years there has been an explosion in the volume, complexity and range of digital content in a variety of media. This has been called the big data revolution and is closely connected to the increasing interest in the digital economy as an engine of growth.

There are very few institutions of any size that do not create and depend on the management, reuse and curation of digital media and information. Government, the public sector, Higher Education, cultural and creative industries and business all make and use these assets every day. What you will study

This course focuses on strategic entrepreneurial marketing and the development of new business models and value propositions based on in-depth insights of both customer and industry/market sector analysis.

It has a clear emphasis on the strategic utilisation of digital marketing theory, strategy, tools and tactics as well as analysis and evaluation of key analytics and metrics in meeting organisational key performance indicators.

You’ll study 180 credits on the course. These credits are made up of the following modules:

- Digital Marketing Management (September – December)
On this module you will learn key aspects of strategic digital marketing planning as well as the changing nature of customer markets and strategic business models. You will be expected to set strategic digital marketing objectives to meet strategic business aims.

- Strategic Entrepreneurial Marketing (September – December)
Gain an understanding of key constructs associated with Strategic Entrepreneurial Marketing, Strategic Entrepreneurial Marketing interfaces with business strategy; and the differentiation between Strategic Entrepreneurial Marketing, and normative marketing planning and management.

- Content Marketing and PR (January to March)
You will be provided with a solid foundation for writing and factual story-telling as well as verbal communication within a marketing and PR context.

- Digital Tools, Technologies and Metrics (January to March)
You will learn about how digital tools and technologies can be used to engage and influence customer conversations and interactions as well as customer retention. You’ll also understand and critique best practice and relevant tools and technologies, application, remuneration and controls to deliver results and find out about how digital tools and technologies interface with business activities to meet strategic aims and objectives.

- Campaign Planning for Marketing and PR (April – May)

- Research Methods
Develop your understanding and skills of research in a management and/or professional development context whilst undertaking a critical review of research methodologies and methods.

The course is delivered full-time daily and is term-based. Part time students, depending on prior qualifications and experience will be counselled on the flexible options available to them.
