More than half of our Economics alumni continue their education through GPEFM or in another PhD or graduate program at prestigious schools around the world. Alumni who choose a professional career path are regularly hired by governmental agencies, international banking, consulting and research firms.
Upon successful completion of the program, students will receive a Master Degree in Economics and Finance awarded jointly with the Universitat Pompeu Fabra. The degree requires the successful completion of 60 ECTS (European Credit Transfer System) credits of graduate courses (6 credits are equivalent to a 40 hour course), some compulsory and some elective. The students' final program must be discussed with and approved by the Master Director.

Sustainable business management is at the forefront of Haifa University Faculty of Management’s one-year Global Green MBA program. The program excels in its focus on environmental and social sustainability, two issues key to effective and responsible business practice. As such, the MBA’s combination of high academic standards in an international learning environment, its focus on essential tools for business management, and the acquiring of theoretical and practical tools for implementing sustainability make it a very valuable and comprehensive business curriculum.
Over the course of the year, students will cover a total of 20 core courses from the fields of Business Administration and Environmental Management and Sustainability. A further two elective courses from the field of Environmental Management and Sustainability and an applied project make up the remainder of the curriculum. In addition to standard MBA subjects such as investments, economics, accounting, and marketing among others, students will study subjects such as principles of sustainability, how to assess an impact of a project on surrounding environment, what environmental laws apply, what is a CSR and what management systems to use. Founded in 1996, the Faculty of Management offers a range of MBA and MA courses administered by the departments of Business Administration; Natural Resources and Environmental Management; and Information and Knowledge Management. The MBA Programs are taught by the faculty's full-time (research) members and specialist adjunct lecturers as well as industry figures and visiting academics.
The faculty operates several research centers, each with a specific research focus such as The Center for Internet Research, The Center for the Study of Organizations and Human Resource Management, The Interdisciplinary Center for Research on Emotions, and The Natural Resource and Environmental Research Center.

The NGO and Mission-Based Management Track is designed for students interested in non-profit management.
Non-governmental and mission-based organizations require all the core competencies in finance, strategy, and operations that are relevant for businesses or corporations; but they also require special leadership and negotiation skills for communities and their stakeholders, as well as special resource management skills, particularly human resources. Your core requirements and their practical applications will enable you to develop these capabilities while also providing elective choices in relevant areas like development communications, or politics and policy, as well as more specialized courses such as “Women, Conflict Resolution and International Law” or “Politics and Economics of Global Media,” among many others.
Complement core requirements in leadership, strategy, finance, ethics and operations with the opportunity to delve further into potential areas of interest such as managing global communications, economics, negotiation, and international relations.
Students will learn the skills and tools of project management by using both practical “hands-on” approaches as well as by applying theory to practice. This course guides students through many of the fundamental operations and project management tools and behavioral skills required in both private sector organizations as well as with NGOs and governmental organizations.
