In cooperation with the University of Neuchâtel, a Master in Sports Law has been created in 2005 with the aim of allowing students to complete and further traditional teaching in legal matters related to sport and to train specialist jurists to deal with the specificities of sport problems. In cooperation with the University of Neuchâtel, a Master in Sports Law has been created in 2005 with the aim of allowing students to complete and further traditional teaching in legal matters related to sport and to train specialist jurists to deal with the specificities of sport problems.

Funding for the teaching of these courses is provided by FIFA.

Lectures are given by specialists of international standing such as Denis Oswald, who is also the CIES Director. The course includes complementary courses in economic law, civil law and health law.

This course is offered solely in French.

Students are to be registered with the University of Neuchâtel to attend classes and apply for the Master exams. Registration is open exclusively at the registration office of the University of Neuchâtel. No registration at CIES.

The second cycle of basic higher education, the Master degree (university 'maîtrise'), corresponds to 90 or 120 ECTS credits (obtained, in theory, over 3 or 4 semesters), and intensifies the scientific understanding of the discipline. Students at this level may also profit from the opportunity to engage in contemporary research.

The Master degree is a prerequisite for doctoral study. On obtaining a Master degree, students may undertake research leading to a PhD from the University of Neuchâtel.

Living the international approach

The MBA in International Management focuses on leadership responsibilities and consulting activities in international businesses and organisations. The programme systematically examines all corporate areas – from market and financial aspects to organisational challenges as well as steering businesses in international markets.

Through the close cooperation with our international partner universities, students on this programme can not only enrich their intercultural experience on visits abroad, but also take modules in specialised areas there. This international approach is equally evident in the content of the lectures and seminars, and in the high proportion of modules taught in English.

MBA in European-Asian Management

Global management competences

The Berlin full-time MBA in European-Asian Management prepares for leadership or consulting roles in companies or organisations which operate in a European-Asian context. The pathway European-Asian Management expands the core courses comprising an international general management programme to highlight the key aspects of economic development in Europe and Asia. In this process, the programme provides the specialist business skills and socio-cultural competences needed to successfully undertake executive business tasks in an international context. Lecturers draw on first-hand experience of leadership positions in Asia and Europe.

Special focus will be on patterns of internationalisation strategies and entry strategies on Asian and European markets, identifying key success factors in expanding companies in the worldwide competition. MBA in Transatlantic Management

Be a part of the global study world

The Berlin full-time MBA in Transatlantic Management prepares for leadership or consulting roles in companies or organisations which operate in a transatlantic context. The pathway course content will focus on general international management issues with a particular focus on transatlantic issues. Students will learn about topics such as the North American Free Trade Agreement and the European Union and their implications for cross-border trade and foreign direct investment.

Certain forms of market entry such as licensing/franchising will receive particular attention. Important variations in business law and corporate governance standards on both sides of the Atlantic will be examined. H Level modules:
- Core curriculum
This module covers all aspects of the English, mathematics, science and computing national curriculum at Key Stage 1.

- Professional studies
This module covers theories of learning, planning, teaching and assessment, classroom management and employment.

- Foundation subjects
This module covers the national curriculum foundation subjects including: history, geography, art and design, music, and design technology.

- School experience
You'll gain experience in two consecutive key stages. School experience is based on a training plan laid out at the beginning of the programme in conjunction with a class teacher, school based mentor and university supervising tutor.

- Performing Arts
Prepares you to teach the performing arts subjects in a culturally diverse society.

- Raising Achievement in Mathematics (RAiM)
The RAiM module will help you gain knowledge and understanding to successfully teach mathematics with competence and confidence, and begin to develop as a specialist in this area.

- English: Language, learning and culture
This module focuses on spoken language as a key area of the English curriculum in order to explore culture and deepen learning in the classroom.

Teaching and learning

The university based sessions are taught through lectures, workshops, practical sessions, seminars and tutorials. The aim throughout is to encourage creativity, reflective pedagogy and sensitivity to educational issues, aims and objectives. We aim to provide a learning community that actively challenges inequality and injustice.

In particular, the module on Equality, Inclusion and Citizenship will allow you to reflect on key issues such as equality, diversity and sustainability in the educational context.

Learning and teaching methods

We offer a flexible portfolio of ACCA courses at our Newport City (part-time and full-time) and Cardiff (part-time only) campuses.

- ACCA at Atlantic House, Cardiff Campus:
ACCA tuition is now available at our Cardiff Campus for papers F7-F8 and Professional Level papers (excluding P4).

The course is delivered on an employer-friendly, afternoon-evening basis. Tuition occurs in weekly slots, with students attending one day per week. Tuition runs between September-December (for examinations in December) and January-June (for examinations in June). September-December deliveries also include additional whole days. Students can commence studies in either September or January.

Course delivery has been designed to offer an excellent platform to learn, with knowledge built up gradually and sustainably through exam question practice which is undertaken week-on-week. This mode of delivery also ensures that students are not required to be absent from their work place for long periods of time.

This programme of study is intended primarily for graduates from any non-computing background to obtain fundamental knowledge and understanding of a range of core subjects in Computing. The overall aim of education is to either equip the graduates who want to develop their careers in their own areas of speciality with additional understanding, awareness and skills of IT and Computing, or help those who want to change their careers into IT and Computing. The programme can also serve as a pre-requisite for advanced master programmes in Applied Computing at Buckingham.

Graduates who successfully complete the programmes are eligible for entry into the MSc in Innovative Computing degree programme.

The Graduate Diploma programme consists of 7 taught modules and an individual project. On completing the programmes, you will be able to understand:

Graduates who successfully complete the programme are eligible for entry into the MSc in Innovative Computing degree programme. The Certificate programme consists of 90 units of credit. Students take 6 taught courses over 6 months. The Certificate programme is more suitable for students with science, engineering or mathematics backgrounds. Computing graduates who have applied to study the MSc in Innovative Computing but lack sufficient knowledge in key areas (such as programming, databases and networking) may be required to take the Certificate programme before being admitted to the MSc programme. The overall aims are to:

- The Guardian League Table for 2014 ranked Buckingham top in the category of job prospects (June 2013).
- The Complete University Guide reported that the University ranked second for Graduate Prospects (May 2013).

Our graduates have gone on to further study at most of the world’s leading universities, including Harvard, London, Oxford and Cambridge and secured jobs in senior positions around the world. Among our alumni we have a graduate who became the head of his country’s civil service and one who became a leading Formula One motor-racing driver. Another secured a position as the Minister of Sabah and one female law graduate became the first British lawyer to become a French Advocate.
