United Nations Study Awards Gilbert Murray Trust

The International Studies Committee of the Gilbert Murray Trust offers up to six United Nations Study Awards for students studying international relations in the UK. This could include study in international law, security studies, peace studies, development studies and global governance, as long as your course is relevant to the work of the United Nations.

The award is only given to a specific project which is part of your study, for e.g. a visit to a specific international organisation headquarters or a short course in another country.

How to apply

To apply, you’ll need to send an application by email addressed to the Secretary of the International Studies Committee of the Gilbert Murray Trust. You can find the contact information on the official Gilbert Murray Trust website.

You’ll need these documents to make the application:

  • A CV
  • A personal statement talking about your career goals
  • A description of the project for which you’re applying for the Award with a breakdown of costs
  • A reference/statement vouching for you suitability for the Award
