The Royal College of Ophthalmologists Sir William Lister and Dorey Bequest Travel Awards

Written by Taru Medha

If you’re training to become an ophthalmologist, you can apply for the Sir William Lister and Dorey Bequest Travel Awards to help support travel for training and research purposes. Originally two different awards, the Sir William Lister and Dorey Bequest Awards have been amalgamated into one fund. This means you’ll be awarded one of the two awards.

You must be a UK citizen, training to be an ophthalmologist and also a member or fellow of the Royal College of Ophthalmologists to be eligible.

The amount awarded is generally £300 - £600 up to a maximum of £1,000.
