"I began my clinical career at King's as it provided me with a solid foundation in dentistry. The quality of teaching was to such a high standard that I believed it was only natural for me to seek further postgraduate education at this institution.

Clinical practice highlighted my forte - aesthetic dentistry. I chose the MSc Aesthetic Dentistry programme as it would allow me to increase my range of clinical ability, to be able to correctly diagnose aesthetic problems and be able to formulate treatment plans suitable for each patient’s requirements, enabling me to deliver the highest clinical standard of care.

This course will allow me to confidently provide high quality dentistry predominantly in private practice. Satisfying patients with the most ethical aesthetic treatment modalities is something to be proud of.
The greatest advantage of this course is that I can apply lessons learnt to clinical practice whilst the program is ongoing. In this way any difficulties encountered can be discussed and solutions created. Distance learning is the future!

Studying at home allows one to work at their own pace thus fitting education into a busy lifestyle.
I am thoroughly enjoying the course. Meeting dentists from all around the world and being educated by some of the world’s leading aesthetic dentists is an honour. I feel privileged to be on such an amazing course which fulfils my career ambitions."

"I chose the MSc in Aesthetic Dentistry as this is the field of dentistry that I am passionate about. I have attended many courses, Dawson Academy, CCADs throughout the UK but I wanted a recognised qualification in this aspect of dentistry, for which I will be the first in Ireland to achieve! I hope to be running a successful dental practice once finishing the course with a view to providing cosmetic dentistry. I also hope to teach as at the moment I am in the process of publishing my work.

I decided to do a distance learning programme as I wanted the clinical and personal freedom to run my business and work at the same time. The advantage of learning at home is that I can study at my own pace, and I can incorporate the aspects that I’ve learned into my clinical practice, which my patients love.

I chose King’s as it has a great longstanding reputation. I find the course excellent, there is always somebody on hand to help and the education and clinical teaching is fantastic. My clinical work has much improved, so I can offer my patients a very high standard of treatment."

"The elements of this course suited my needs as a GDP with a particular interest in providing gold standard aesthetic dentistry. I would like to start my own practice after I’m qualified, providing mentoring and using the skills learnt to provide evidence based dentistry.

Flexible learning allows me to study around my work and family life. The course enables me to further my education without taking time off and the financial constraints this would involve. I can study anytime, anywhere. I can access the course material from any computer or my iphone. I have an erratic work and family life so I plan my study around this. The advancement of technology means I can sit at home in front of my computer and be involved in lectures with expert tutors in a different country, Wow!

King's College has a worldwide reputation for teaching and excellence. The teaching is first class and the facilities at LONDEC are unrivalled. If you are looking for a course with a ‘wow’ factor then this is it!
The course is even better than I could have expected. The tutors are knowledgeable and skilled, and all work in general practice. They understand the real world and are always ready to answer questions. By working and learning I have been able to improve care to my patients overnight and that has benefited my patients and in turn benefitted me.

Blended learning should be the future of further education."

"I undertook my BDS training at the University of Malaysia and am currently working in an Aesthetic dentistry clinic in Dubai. I chose to take this course because I enjoy aesthetic dentistry cases and these treatments are in great demand in Dubai as there is currently a shortage of dentists trained in this field.

On completion of this course I hope to be able to instill confidence in some of my patients who think socializing is impossible for them, and to make them realize that they are just as attractive a human being as everybody else (especially those patients who have experienced an accident which ripped off the beauty that they once had).

Distance learning fits well around my life as I have a family who travels a lot due to the nature of my husband's job. I find learning this way helps me to still practice and look after my family at the same time. Learning from home also allows me to study at my own pace and do things in my own time.

King's College is a well known school that has produced the world's great dentists and has the top teaching staff in dentistry. It is for these reasons that I feel I have made the right choice in pursuing this course. So far I am enjoying student life!"
