MA Decorative Arts |
| Our MA in Decorative Arts will give you all the confidence and skills you need to overturn conventional approaches to design, craft solutions and product manufacture. It is a multidisciplinary course, focusing on the practice of contemporary craft processes in mediums such as glass, ceramics, metal and textiles, while encouraging new experimental hybrid approaches. This gives you the opportunity to develop an individual specialism to an advanced level. The course involves 2D design development and 3D design realisation, encouraging you to challenge conventions in design thinking, craft solutions and product manufacture. • The course is delivered through lectures, seminars, workshops and tutorials which help students to review and re-evaluate their existing studio practice • Input from visiting artists and experts enrich student’s knowledge and experience • Students receive individual and group tutorials, and are given opportunities to undertake regular peer-review presentations • Assessment is carried out via coursework at the end of each stage, culminating in an exposition of students’ work towards the end of the course |
