Our Business Project Management programme offers a range of key benefits, each of which will contribute to your development as an effective professional or manager working in a project management context: • Apply the latest thinking on Business Project Management to the analysis of the key problems being experienced by a wide range of organisations, including your own! • Possess a thorough understanding of the key principles of effective project management and the methodologies that can be used to achieve results • Understand the key financial and organisational aspects of managing projects to completion • Appreciate the complexities of managing international projects and projects that involve issues relating to sustainability • Develop your project management skills by tackling a live work-based project in your organisation • Undertake your own postgraduate research into a topic within the field of Business Project Management that has interest and relevance to your future career. The one-year Postgraduate Certificate will enable you to gain a thorough grounding in the key aspects of Business Project Management. You will take modules on: - Principles of Project Management - Financial Aspects of Project Management - Organisational Aspects of Project Management - Project Management in Practice The two-year Postgraduate Diploma not only provides the above grounding but also enables you to extend your understanding by taking the following modules in Year 2: - Project Management Methodologies - Project Management in an International Context - Work-based Project - Research Methods (option) - Sustainable Project Management (option) If you decide to take the three year MSc programme then you complete the taught modules and then, in year 3, you have the opportunity to undertake the MSc dissertation, which will involve planning and implementing a research study on an approved topic within the area of Business Project Management. This provides an ideal opportunity to personalise your study programme reflecting your own interests, and current and possible future work context. For many on the MSc, this is a good opportunity to relate your studies to issues being faced by your current employer, thereby enabling a useful pay-back for any support during the programme |
