“Self funded, I took a year out after my BSc degree to save up the money”.

Why you think BSc graduates should do an MSc in Managing the Environment?
“The MSc is a fantastic way to gain a good grounding in a range of environmental matters. I learnt about environmental law, EIA as well as practical skills in survey and lab work“.

What you liked most about the MSc and Aberystwyth?
“Aberystwyth is great coastal location and everyone is so friendly. I thoroughly enjoyed my year there but also particularly liked my period spent in Sweden. It was an amazing place to study and I met people from all over Europe”.

What you learnt during the MSc that has been transferable to your work?
“Critical analysis skills and evaluating information and dissemination to a range of users”.

A brief history of your career following the MSc:
“I got a job at the University of Bedfordshire in their Quality Assurance office. I subsequently secured my current position with the Open University on a European wide public outreach project called Evolution MegaLab!”
