MSc in Reproductive & Developmental Biology


Course Description

The aim of this one-year full-time course is to provide an opportunity for scientists and clinicians to specialise in reproductive and developmental biology.

The primary focus is on the basic sciences, and their application to selected clinical aspects of the subject.

This MSc provides a valuable qualification and sound training for a further career in scientific research or in assisted reproduction.

Faculty of Medicine Dean's Master's Scholarships - 9 Awards

Applications are invited from outstanding candidates from Imperial College London, the UK and worldwide who have the potential to become leaders in their field. There are no restrictions on nationality.

Five awards are available for Home/EU students and four are available for Overseas students.

Successful applicants will have their tuition fees paid for by the Faculty of Medicine and will receive and additional stipend of £17,000 to cover living expenses (paid in monthly instalments).

Students with evidence of outstanding academic potential are strongly urged to apply, as are other applicants with a less strong academic background but who have professional, research or voluntary experience in a relevant field.

The deadline for scholarship applications is 26 April 2016.

Eligibility

Available to Home/EU students and Overseas students planning to study a full-time or part-time Master's course run by Imperial's Faculty of Medicine in the 2016/17 academic year.

Application Procedure

Interested applicants will need to first apply for a Master's programme run by the Faculty of Medicine. They will then need to complete an online form. Please see the Faculty of Medicine Master's Dean's Master's Scholarships page for more information.

Entry Requirements

Applicants are expected to have a first degree in a life science (e.g. biochemistry, biology, genetics, molecular biology), veterinary science or medicine, with a minimum of second class honours (or equivalent if undertaken overseas).
